I always need salvage. Between building a million and one specters, building stuff at the Dojo and just normal every day crafting I never, ever, EVER have enough. I’ve learned pretty quickly what kinds of missions I like to solo farm on, my favorite locations and how much I should be getting per a mission even if RNGesus is feeling awfully evil that day.
Take into account: this is geared for solo players not a group. If you’re running in a squad and you want to farm a lot of stuff you’d probably want to look at something like an endless survival! Just make sure if you do go with a squad you say if you want to farm or not – to make sure everyone is on the same page!
My Favorite Solo Salvage Farming Spot: Carpo, Jupiter {Exterminate, levels 17-19}
– I prefer Farming Solo for resources on an exterminate mission – I can take my time emptying all the loot rooms and make sure I don’t miss a container. This location also allows me to bring baby frames/weapons/companions and level them up while farming!
How Much Salvage I get: Anywhere from 3,600-4,000 Salvage per run
– This is without any kind of vacuum on a sentinel or the Charm and/or Scavenger mod on my Kavat {or Kubrow}. However I’m pretty careful about going into all the rooms and cracking open as many lockers + containers as I can!
— Pro Tip: If you want to get the most out of your farming bring a Smeeta Kavat with the Charm + Scavenger Mod + Animal Instinct or a Kubrow with the Scavenger + Animal Instinct mod to open up the extra lockers and highlight loot! Or a Sentinel with a vacuum mod so you don’t miss anything! You can also equip the Loot Detector mod on your Warframe to see where all the loot containers are!
Other Notable Resources: 3-7 Neural Sensors, 10 – 30 Oxium per run
How Long: 11-17 minutes per mission. With the average being around 14 minutes per run {depending on the tile set and how many loot rooms there are and if the enemies are super spread out}.
Tips + Other Information: As stated above I do like using this location for leveling up frames and/or weapons but always try to have a pole/whip/dual swords like meele weapon so I can crack open multiple containers at once. It just makes things easier/quicker! Sometimes I’ll mix it up and use my favorite frames {Ember/Rhino/Saryn} with my favorite weapons just for fun. That way things don’t get too repetitive!
This location does have Bursas so if you hate fighting them make sure you have plenty of ciphers or are just good at hacking to make your life easier 🙂
Other locations: If you want more of a challenge then you can also farm Salvage on Dakata, Kuva Fortress, Levels 28-30. I don’t have as much fun there and find it takes longer and gives me about the same amount of salvage as Jupiter does. The only reason I’d farm on the Kuva Fortress is if I needed Tellurium as well and didn’t have time to farm for it separately.
Extractors: If you need salvage and won’t be around to farm it you can try dropping an extractor on Mars. It’ll normally pull around 800-1000 salvage if it pulls salvage. The nice thing about this is you can easily manage the extractors from your phone with the Warframe app so if you’re not going to play for a few days you can periodically use the app to dump the extractor and deploy another!
Next up we’ll talk about farming Plastids! I know, I know, you’re wicked excited 😉
